PROJECT NOTES

Describe the property, not just the storm

A weather event does not establish damage at a particular building. Your request should describe what you observed, when it happened and which parts of the property appear affected.

  • Roofing, exterior cladding, windows and visible interior damage
  • Affected buildings, floors, rooms or units
  • Temporary protection already completed and the company involved
  • Photos, inspection notes and estimates you already have
PROJECT NOTES

Separate immediate protection from reconstruction

A temporary protection request and a full reconstruction proposal can have different scopes, schedules and providers. Explain the help you are looking for and what has already been authorized. If there is immediate danger, contact emergency services; this site is not emergency dispatch.

PROJECT NOTES

Prepare a clearer provider conversation

Ask who will inspect the property, who holds the contract, what is included in temporary work, and how additional work is approved. Request a written scope and confirm local licensing, insurance and permit responsibilities where applicable. Provider review is not an insurance coverage decision.
